The “Surfski-Kayak” concept blends the best features of racing surf skis with the best features of high-performance sea kayaks. The result is “Onwind”, a hybrid watercraft built with high density polyethylene that is easy to paddle in all conditions, from flat water to surf of the sea where the water is very rough with rolling waves and open sea waves for hundreds of metres on a single run. These boats can cover great distances – they just make you want to paddle further and faster which is superb for fitness. Onwind is outfitted with high-quality fittings such as carbon fibre footboard & pedals, stainless steel handles and the uniquely designed bailer to flush the water out. In addition, it features an aft storage compartment with a waterproof hatch for storage and grab handles during portages. Its capability is further enhanced with a kick up rudder to act as skeg and protect you from leeward wind. Onwind can be paddled in areas where composites or fibre glass models cannot. Added with a wing paddle, it becomes a rocket in water.
